Marie "Marion" Lichtfuss

August 13, 1920 — June 22, 2015

Marie Ann (Marion Weisheipl) Lichtfuss passed away at Appleton Retirement Center on June 22, 2015, after a short illness. She was born August 13, 1920 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Drexler) Weisheipl. Marion attended Sacred Heart Grade School and St. Peters High School. She was a teller at the New American Bank for 12 years. She married Robert “Bob” Lichtfuss on October 17, 1953 at Sacred Heart Church in Oshkosh. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo and hosting holiday get together's. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook – with homemade rye bread her specialty.
Survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob”; 4 daughters: Ann Marie (Dave) Marquardt, Sue (Dave) Huettl, Barb (Virg) Hale, Marge (Jim) Clark; 1 son: Mike (Tina) Lichtfuss, 11 grandchildren; David (Diane) Hollenback, Jen (Andrew) Boldt, Terri Marquardt, Robert (Angie) Huettl, Brian (Erica) Huettl, Christina (Drew) Czosek, Kevin (fiancé Andrea) Clark, Matt, Nick, Steve and Ryan Lichtfuss, 7 great grandchildren; LCPL Anthony Hollenback, Zachery Hollenback; Erik, Allison, Emily, Sam and Josh Huettl.
Also survived by her sister-in-law Maggie Diener, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Frank (Carol) Lichtfuss, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Gertrude and Rose, 4 brothers, Joe, George “Corky”, Eddie and Matt. Mother-in-law & Father-in-law, Frank and Martha Lichtfuss, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Herman Diener, Ken “Worm” and Arlene Lichtfuss, Lorraine Lichtfuss and Judy (Stillman) Weisheipl.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State Street in Appleton. Funeral Liturgy will be on Friday at St. Mary's at 11:00 am with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg officiating.
Thank you to the Appleton Retirement Community and Southern Care Hospice for the care given to Marie.
