Marie Loveall left us Wednesday evening at her home at the age of 75.

Marie was born in Madison on November 18, 1934 to Edwin and Irene Orr. Marie was an excellent student athlete and received her Social Service Degree.

She went on to work at Winnebago Mental Health Institute as a Director of the Tellurian Community for twenty plus years until her retirement in 1994.

Marie and her husband Tom were joined at the hip for 54 years. They were world traveled, involved in play groups and they danced a waltz only less beautiful than their marriage. She loved infusing her mind with books, playing in the garden and cooking a mean ham dinner. She and Tom led by example as to what unconditional love is and Marie will perhaps be known by everyone for her contagious sense of humor and an unconditional love of life.

Her early on love of dance led her to name her first dogs Samba and Tango. She then fell in love with her Rhodesian Ridgebacks Pepper and Chili but was probably most in love with her last Ridgeback, Sweety, who was always by her side.

Marie is survived by her husband and soul mate Tom and dogmate Sweety, daughter Sharon and her husband Randy, son Dan and his wife Nancy along with their son Harrison, sister Sally Vaza along with her husband Yehuda and daughter Anna, plus numerous cousins.

Her steadfast loyalty to helping others led her to make a number of donations to Fox Valley organizations. Donations can be made in her name to Fox Valley Humane Association (http://www.foxvalleypets.org/) and the Greater Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org/gwwi/)

Funeral services for Marie will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM October 20, 2010 at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST 724 E. South River St., Appleton with the Rev. Jane Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery
