Marie was one of the nicest women I have ever met. Maybe even the nicest. I never saw her be cranky, but always kind, caring, supportive, and tolerant. Just being around her was peaceful and calming. Shortly after Steve and I moved to our first house, Marie sent me a short note, and included a pressed flower with seeds from her garden. Those weren't the only "seeds" she gave.
