Marian C. Joosten

Marian C. Joosten of Kimberly, age 86, went peacefully to her eternal home on October 4, 2008. She was born March 4, 1922, in Little Chute, daughter
of Peter and Anna (Bergman) Evers. On August 22, 1944, Marian married Joseph Joosten at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. The couple lived
in Kimberly most of their married lives. The Joostens were members of Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly. Marian was employed with Zwicker Knitting Mills until 1946 and spent the rest of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies. Marian was stylish, fashionable, and particular. She loved having her hair styled. Marian was very caring, giving, and always put others first. She
had a great love for her family, and shared a special closeness with her grandchildren and sisters. Marian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and
cherished the time she was able to share with all.
Marian is survived by her children: Sharon (Ron) Hansen, Appleton; Mary K. Joosten (special friend Joe Le May), Neenah; Tom (Debbie) Joosten, Green Bay;
Tim (Mary R.) Joosten, Kimberly; seven grandchildren: Rick (Lisa) Hansen, Staci (Bryan) Roskom, Shannon and Brent Joosten, Alison, Jared and Katelyn Joosten;
four great grandchildren: Ryan and Sammi Hansen, Shauna and Shaela Roskom; a brother, Orv (Shirley) Evers; seven sisters: Dorothy Reider, LaVern (Norbert) Kaminski, Ev Gambsky, Mardie (Jim) Smith, Jean (Jerome) Van Asten, Audrey (Ron) Huss, and Shirley (Gerald) Broeren, a sister-in-law, Helen Evers, and a special friend, Bernice Verhoeven. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph; her parents; a brother, Joseph Evers; and three brothers-in-law: Carl Reider, Vernon Verhoeven, and Fay Gambsky.
The funeral mass for Marian will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH, KIMBERLY CAMPUS, 600 E. KIMBERLY AVE., with
Father David Beaudry as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 9:30 Wednesday morning at the church until the time of mass. Marian will be laid to rest next
to her husband Joseph at St. John Cemetery, Little Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff, especially Dr. Misty Johnson and Dr. Carl Rasmussen, at St.Elizabeth Hospital for their loving care
and support.
