Age 93, died Saturday, November 2, 2002, at ManorCare, Appleton. Margaret was born on March 29, 1909, in Appleton, to the late Anton and Mary (Colling) Stadler. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; a member of the Christian Mothers Society; member of Monte Alverno Retreat Guild; and a long-time Appleton resident. Survivors include her daughters, Yvonne M. (Richard) Heid, Redgranite, Wisconsin; Mary M. (Roger) Krause, Appleton; her sons, Gerald E. Herbst, Appleton; Donald L. (Peggy) Herbst, Florida; Richard C. Herbst, New York; Leon C. Herbst (Jean) Herbst, Appleton; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and her sister, Sister M. DeChantal, Notre Dame Convent, Elm Grove, Wisconsin. Private funeral services will be held. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family wishes to thank the staff at ManorCare for their care and concern with Mom.
