Margaret M. Look

August 6, 1926 — January 31, 2012

Margaret Dorothy (Mueller) Look passed away peacefully at The Heritage on Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012. She was born in Stephensville, WI on August 6, 1926, to the late Peter Andrew and Corinne Theresa (Goerl) Mueller. She was a graduate of Appleton High School, and as a young woman worked in the dental office of Dr. Jack Benton. On May 31, 1949 Margaret married Dr. Raymond G. Look, a well known Appleton chiropractor. For many years, Margaret and Dr. Look worked side by side. She served as receptionist, bookkeeper in addition to many other office duties. After Ray's death, March 25, 1979, she worked at Roundy's Food Distribution, and in the parish office of St. John Catholic Church, both in Little Chute.

In her younger years, Margaret and the family were members at St. Therese Catholic Church, where she served as a President of the Christian Mothers Society. She was also a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church for many years. She and her husband enjoyed their monthly card club with the Burkes, Rickerts, and Mattices. Margaret was known for her baking talent. Her angel food cakes and sweet rolls were without equal. A favorite memory was meeting John F. Kennedy at St. Therese during a campaign stop in 1960. Spending time at Grandpa Look's cottage on Lake Poygan was a highlight of the summer months. She enjoyed the company of her miniature schnauzers, Misty and Quila.

Margaret is survived by three children: James R. (Catherine) Look of Boulder, Colorado; Charles G. (Marian) Look of Appleton; and Kathryn M. Look of Appleton and her special friend Anne Fumelle of Anaheim, California; two grandchildren: Justin (Hillary) Look and Sarah Look, and her fiancé Adam Koziolkowsky; a sister, Bernadette Barbara Mueller of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Lucille Reynebeau of Little Chute; and a brother-in-law: Robert Look of Little Chute. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren Justin and Sarah. There are also many nieces and nephews that Margaret cared deeply about.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Dr. R.G. Look, a sister Ann (Gene) Van Zeeland, and sisters-in-law Mary Look and Dorothy Lamers, brothers-in-law Joe Reynebeau, Tom Lamers and Gene Van Zeeland.

Visitation will be on Friday February 3, 2012 from 9 to 11am prior to the services at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street in Appleton. The funeral liturgy for Margaret will be at 11am, also at St. Thomas More. Fr. Gerald Falk will celebrate the funeral mass. Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery, Little Chute.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the George F. Peabody Foundation of the Heritage and Peabody Manor Community, 2600 South Heritage Woods Drive, Appleton, WI 54915

The family also sincerely thanks the entire staff at The Heritage for the loving care they gave Margaret throughout the years that she lived there.
