Age 96, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, February 20, 2011 at Parkside Care Center. She was born on May 16, 1914 in the Town of Buchanan to the late John and Ida (Hupfauf) Wiedenhaupt. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. On September 29, 1934 she married Fred Harke at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1984. Margaret was a founding member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in 1937 and an honorary member of their Christian Women's Society and other church organizations.

Margaret is survived by three sons: Roger (Rose) Harke, John (Alice) Harke and David (Marilyn) Harke; daughter, Judy (David) Williamson; 14 grandchildren: Ron, Mark, Paul, Lee, Lisa and Johnny, Sadie Lee, Lucas and Abby; Sara, Molly, Brad, Laura and Fred; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Bernice Arps and Grace Dercks; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; four brothers and their wives: Ervin (Millie), Victor (Gert), Chuck (Hilda) and Howard; and two brothers-in-law: John Dercks and Gilbert Arps.

Christian services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at MT. CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH, N8728 S. Coop Rd., Menasha (South on Hwy. N, right on Woodland Dr., before Hwy 10 roundabout, left on S. Coop Rd.) with Rev. Ronald Szep officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated.

The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Jack Meyer and Parkside Care Center for the wonderful care they gave to our mother. God Bless All.
