Margaret Kolosso

Margaret Lillian Kolosso, age 89, of Appleton, passed into the welcoming arms of Jesus her Savior with all her children around her, grieving and rejoicing at the same time. She was born on May 29, 1921, in Neenah, to the late Elmer and Martha (Luka) Boreson. Margaret married Daniel Kolossso on April 15, 1940, in Menasha.

She was the ULTIMATE mama, grandma and great-grandma! She is now dancing the perfect waltz with her Danny, playing cards with her beloved mama, and smelling heaven's roses. We will so miss her cute giggle, laughing eyes, and waving goodbye from her window. Words are inadequate to even summarize all that she was and did for her family. She will forever be in the hearts of those who loved her, her children, Judy (Llew) Krause, Dan Kolosso, Jr.”Butch”; Bette Handel (special friend Jeff Ogden); Richard (Carol) Kolosso; Diane (Doug) Verrier; Mark (Teri) Kolosso; Nancy Zuleger (special friend Scott Franzek); Joe (Kelly) Kolosso; Mary (Mark) Martin; and Ken (Marta) Kolosso. She is further survived by 22 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Dan in July of 2007, and by three brothers and two sisters.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff at Appleton Health Care and the doctors and nurses in St. Elizabeth's ICU and Dr. Yacoub for their compassionate care; also to Terry Wolfrath of Wichmann Funeral Home for his very personal service in this difficult time.
