Margaret A. Grissman

Margaret A. Grissman, 98, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Brewster Village.

Marge was born on November 3, 1917 to Cornelius and Harriet (Jansen) Hartjes. On April 21, 1938 she was united in marriage to Edward F. Grissman. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening, canning, polka music and camping. She also was a volunteer for St. Mary's Catholic Church and the VFW. Marge was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion.

Marge is survived by her children; Ves (Arlene) Grissman, Kenneth E. (Mary Jane) Grissman, Paul Grissman, and Linda Grissman Gossens, 11 grandchildren; Scott Grissman, Shawn (Wayne) Wyngaard, Shari (Bernie) Manders, Joel (Penny) Grissman, Christopher (Jennifer) Grissman, Ann Marie (Ben) Wilkes, Tiffany (Jose) Pompa, Melissa (Jeremy) Hahn, Paul II (Jessica) Grissman, Ashley Gossens, and Stephanie Gossens, great grandchildren; Jennifer, Becky, Kayla, Jordan, Taylor, Austin, Kendra, Hunter, CJ, Aria, Mia, Reid, Jayme, Elizabeth, Isaac, Arabella, Alaric, Paul III, and Eli, two sisters; Lucina Kerkhoff Jandrey and Helen Mertens, 2 sisters-in-law; Frances Portman and Marie Hartjes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, and siblings; Irene, Betty, Rose Ann, Edward, Julius, Jim, Willard, George and Harvey.

The funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL, ST. MARY SITE, 119 7th St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery.
