Lynn Stevens, age 60, died at Appleton Medical Center on Saturday, October 4, 2003, after a short illness. By her bedside was her husband, Lee Martin and her children, Jeffrey and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her father Curtis R. Stevens and leaves behind her mother Dortha Stevens of Appleton and brother Michael of Bandon, Oregon. Lynn was born on October 28, 1942, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She attended Menasha High School and married Lee Martin of Neenah on September 7, 1963. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lynn enjoyed crafting, was a volunteer for the Lupus Foundation in Washington, D. C. and for the Meals on Wheels Program in Maryland for several years. She will be dearly missed by her son-in-law Eric Hosea and grandchildren Michael and Araceli of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and her daughter-in-law, Eileen Martin, and grandchildren Michael, Martin, Nicholas and Haley of Hagerstown, Maryland. She is also survived by her godparents, Jim and Jean Courtney, Kimberly, and her longtime childhood friend, Sandy Wiley, Appleton. She will be sadly missed by all the friends she kept in touch with throughout the country. Donations to the Lupus Society are being established in her memory, at www.lupus.org, or 202- 349-1155. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Mr. Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m until the time of services.
