Lucina R. Kuepper

Lucina R. Kuepper, age 98, of Kimberly, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Brewster Village. She was born on November 6, 1914, in Darboy, the daughter of the late John and Marie (Vanden Wyngaard) Seegers. On June 21, 1932, Lucina married Stephen Kuepper, Sr. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Darboy. She was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Parish. Stephen and Lucina were foster parents to many children over the years. She was well known for her excellent baking and cooking skills, and was part-owner of The Pantry in New London with her daughter, Carol. Lucina always looked forward to playing cards or BINGO. Her family meant the world to her, and she looked forward to the family gatherings.

Lucina is survived by her eight children: Stephen, Jr. (LaVerne) Kuepper, Kimberly; Carol (Robert, Sr.) Miller, New London; Kenneth (Ariel) Kuepper, Big Bear Lake, California; Richard (Kerry) Kuepper, Sacramento, California; Diane (Timothy) Lettau, Appleton; Douglas (Tamara) Kuepper, Milwaukee; Steven (Diana) Kuepper, Winter, Wisconsin; and Corey Kuepper, Orange County, California; seventeen grandchildren: Craig (Pam), Russ (Chris), Kerri (Tom) Jacob, and Todd (Judy) Kuepper; Robert Jr. (Patricia), Cindy (special friend Ken Friday) Miller, and Gerald (special friend Suzanne Halverson) Miller; Aubrey (Claudia) Kuepper; Michelle (Greg) Quintana, Melissa (Steve) Thom, Melanie (Gregg) Caven, and Kit Hartsough; Jason (Rhonda), Heath (Jennifer), and Shane Lettau; Dawn (Mark) Burgard and Steven, Jr. Kuepper; thirty one great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; brother: Louis (Kathrine) Seegers, Kimberly; sister: Lillian (Joe) Hermsen, Appleton; and sister-in-law: Rose Seegers, Freedom. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lucina was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, Sr.; daughter, Janet Kuepper; father and mother-in-law: John and Elizabeth Kuepper; brothers and sisters: Albert (Rose) Seegers, John (Regina) Seegers, Herman (Audrey) Seegers, Clarence Seegers, Jacobine (William/Richard) Hopfensperger-Buechler, Marie (Raymond, Sr.) Haase, Louise (Matt) Weyenberg, and Elizabeth (Willard/Fred) Leitzke-Van Dyke; brothers-in-law: Gilbert Kuepper and Leonard Kuepper; sisters-in-law: Margaret (George) Probst, Florence Seegers, and Gladys Seegers.

The funeral liturgy for Lucina will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Holy Spirit/Holy Name Church, 620 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Fr. David Beaudry will be officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and again at the church on Friday from 10:30 am until the time of mass.
