Lucille Biedenbender, age 80, of Appleton, died Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. Lucille Estelle Biedenbender was born on March 17, 1937 in Appleton, Wisconsin, and was baptized and confirmed in her Christian faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1955 and worked for many years at Aid Association for Lutherans/Thrivent Financial. She faithfully sang in the church choir at St. Paul’s and was also a member of Chaminade Chorus. She enjoyed beautiful flowers and created many wonderful pieces of needlework. She will be remembered as a faithful aunt who encouraged her nieces and nephews to serve their Savior, Jesus.
Lucille is survived by three sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Stella L. Biedenbender, and her siblings: Ewald, Wilburn, Kermit, Fred, Gerhard and two infant brothers.
The Christian Funeral Service for Lucille will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 19, 2018 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison Street in Appleton, with Rev. Peter Walther officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM.
