Louise Jasper, age 83, of Appleton, was received into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Louise was born on August 15, 1921, to the late Joseph and Estelle (Hoffmann) Schumacher. On June 28, 1958, she was united in marriage to Stanley “Jerry” Jasper at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Chicago.

Prior to marrying Jerry, Louise worked for 19 years in the New York Central Railroad offices in Chicago. For the next 46 years she devoted all her time, energy and love to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was an accomplished pianist, quilter and knitter who shared her gifts generously with all.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; her four daughters, Mary Catherine (Jon) Wiersum, Minneapolis; Margaret Mary (Eric) Beyer, Round Lake, Illinois; Maurita Anne (Michael) Lyons, Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; and Marianne Therese Ratzberg, Winchester, Wisconsin. She is further survived by six loving grandchildren, Julia, James and Margaret Wiersum; Ashley and Michael Parker Beyer; and Carlee Brocker. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Mary & Joseph, Ernest and Alice.

The Funeral Liturgy will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 West Lawrence Street, Appleton, with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name to benefit the St. Joseph Catholic School Scholarship Fund.
