Louis A. "Louie" Eisch

Louis Aloysius Eisch, age 82, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. With the care of his wife and family, he lived at home after a debilitating stroke 18 years ago. One of twelve children, Louis was born on October 25, 1929 in De Pere, Wisconsin to the late Joseph and Olive (Terrien) Eisch. Louie was a devoted charter member of St. Pius X Church and member of the De Pere Historical Society. As a sportsman he loved hunting, fishing, and football, especially the Packers. He was also an avid reader.
Louis is survived by his loving wife Dolores and eight adoring children: Mara Eisch-Schweitzer , Madison and her children Matt Eisch, Andy, Nathan, and Louis; Eric (Britta) Eisch, Wausau and their children Caitlyn, Suzanne, Faith, Erik, and Ada; Tina Jansen, Appleton and her daughter Megan Eisch; Duke (Kim) Eisch, Appleton and sons Luke and Jacob; Joel (Kathleen) Eisch, Oshkosh; Erin Eisch, Wausau and her children Ellyn, Ben, and Mark; Mimi (Chris) Howard, Green Bay and their son Nicholas; and Candace (Brad) Groebner, Greenville and their daughter Emily.
Louis was preceded in death by his sisters: Rachel, Lorraine, and a sister who died in her youth; and his brothers: Norb, Harvey, Carl, Bill, and Pat; and sons-in-law: Leon Schweitzer and Dennis Jansen.
The funeral liturgy for Louis will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton. Fr. Thomas J. Farrell will be officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Appleton. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of mass.
