Lou Ellen Elsner

January 21, 1930 — October 30, 2009

Lou Ellen T. Elsner, age 79, of Little Chute, passed away on October 30, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center, after a short illness. Lou Ellen was born on January 21, 1930, in Appleton to the late Willis Wilbert and Nanna (Johnson) Elsner, Sr. She was a 1952 graduate of LaCrosse State Teacher's College, majoring in Physical Education. Lou Ellen taught in Durand, Illinois, Omro, Wisconsin and for many years at Cedarburg, Wisconsin high schools, retiring in 1988. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was interested in physical education her entire life and enjoyed genealogy.

Lou Ellen is survived by three sisters, Carmen J. Elsner; Dolores (Harry) Hurst; and Denise (Leslie) Koepke and a sister-in-law, Norma Elsner. She was preceded in death by her brother Willis Wilbert Elsner, Jr.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 425 W. Parkridge Avenue, Appleton, with Bishop Glen Ogden officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
