Lorraine Martin, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at home in Kaukauna. Lorraine was born on January 6, 1918 to the late Alfred and Minnie (Stanley) Patnode in Bryant, WI. She was a graduate of Antigo High School and attended Modern Beauty School in Milwaukee. She married Merle Martin of Eagle Grove Iowa in July of 1951. They lived in Antigo until 1957 when they moved to Kaukauna. Lorraine is survived by her husband; Merle Martin, two sons; Howard (Peggy) Martin, Hilbert, Bill (Lynn) Martin, Little Chute, grandchildren; Miranda (John) Schuh, Mike Martin, Leah (special friend Derek), Carl (Fiancée Laura), Ben, and Kristin Martin, and one great-grandchild; Rhys, a sister Ruth Ison, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Iva Reeves, Dulcia Arnold, and Margaret Fraley. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 4:30 PM at the IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (510 Sullivan Ave, Kaukauna) with Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 3:30 until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. The family would like to thank Pastor Melinda Feller and Theda Care Hospice.
Today I will act toward other people as though this will be my last day on earth. I will not wait for tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.
