Lorraine M. Otto

LITTLE CHUTE–Lorraine (Gerrits)  Otto age 92 passed away due to natural causes on January 11, 2022 surrounded by her family.  She was the daughter of the late William and Loretta (School) Gerrits.  She married Gayland Otto on August 7, 1948.  They shared 67 years together before his passing on February 12, 2016.

Lorraine loved spending time at the family cottage on Lake Gogebic MI.  To her up North was always about the more the merrier.

Many hours were spent there with family, friends, and the grandkids making cherished memories.

Lorraine also loved her card games with the family and her Friday card group.  She looked forward to family stopping in for a quick game of 500 Rummy.  Of course it was always more fun to her if she won. She would remind you that she won and then pass that information on to the next person who stopped by.  She looked forward to that occasional trip to the casino.  Mom and dad also spent many winters in Gulf Shores AL. with good neighbors and friends.  She  will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family. Lorraine is survived by her daughters Linda (Tom) Felzer of Appleton, Connie Otto of Darboy.  Her sons Greg (Julie) Otto of Appleton, Randy (Chris) Otto of Sherwood and Rick (Lori) Otto of Darboy.  Grandchildren, Kelly   (Tom) Schuchart, Ryan (Andrea) Felzer, Jesse (Stephanie) Felzer, Jenna (Ryan) Weninger, Krista (Mark) Buman, Amie (Keith) Romenesko, Brandon (Tabby) Otto, Tyler and Ashley Otto.  Great grandchildren Brady, Katelin, Emma, Laura, Aleia, Lexi, Grayson, Lainey, Adeline, Henry, Avery,  Quinn, and Nixon. Sister, Viola Dickrell and brother, Richard Gerrits and sister-in-law, Dolores Gerrits and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Gayland Otto.  Father and mother William and Loretta Gerrits, brother Melvin Gerrits and sister Ethel Walker.  Brothers in law Eugene Walker and Ambrose Dickrell.  Sister in law Aggie Gerrits.

The family will be having a mass and celebration of life on our mothers birthday July 13, 2022.  The family would  like to extend a special thank you to the nurses from ThedaCare at Home Hospice for their attentive care in her last days, and also to her friend Lorraine Evers, whose company she always looked forward to.
