ARNDT, LORRAINE M.

Lorraine M. Arndt, 90, of Appleton, departed this life on May 23, 2009 at Brewster Village. She was born on July 18, 1918 in Waupaca, the daughter of the late Irwin and Esther (Schlichting) Lewis. On October 18, 1938, she married Gerhardt Arndt and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2001.

She is survived by her children: Richard (Joan) Arndt, Park City, UT; Judy (Ken Fields) Schmidt, Weyauwega and Gary (Mary) Arndt, Appleton; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother: Kenneth (Ilda) Lewis; sister-in-law: Ella Lewis; brother-in-law: Robert (Phyllis) Arndt; sisters-in-law: Ruth (Ralph) Strohschein, Vivian Arndt and Judith Arndt Bloom; many nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Lewis, sisters-in-law: Leona (Maynard) Strohschein and Esther (Ernie) Hooyman and brother-in-law, Frank Arndt.

A Celebration of Lorraine's life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN CHAPEL with Rev. Leon Knitt officiating. Inurnment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Heritage II, Lawrence Hall at Brewster Village for the wonderful care given to our mom during the past three years.
