Age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday November 17, 2006. Loretta was born April 3, 1915 in Black Creek, daughter of the late William and Catherine (Pohlman) Lorenz. She married Alvin Colling on November 29, 1934 and he preceded her in death in 1983. Loretta is survived by her children: Jacquelyn “Jackie” (Roy) Thiel, Merrill, WI.; Elizabeth “Betty” Koerner, Appleton; Carol (Roger) Anderson, Bloomer, WI.; Ron (Judy) Colling, Little Chute; and Steve (Mary) Colling, Meeteetse, Wyoming; a sister Marion (Frank) Reading, Brillion; 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Loretta was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Willard and Kenneth; 4 sisters, Eileen, Ione, Lorraine, and Shirley; and 2 grandchildren, Cindy Thiel and David Kiley.

Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 P.M. Wednesday November 22 at the Wichmann Funeral Home 537 N. Superior St., Appleton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 P.M. until the time of services. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial is being established.
