Age 102, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center on Monday night, September 8, 2008. Loretta was born on June 16, 1906 in Menasha, daughter of the late John and Emma (Schuler) Zeininger. Growing up in Menasha, she was proud to attend masses and school at St. Mary's. On June 24, 1930 she married Fredrick Hanson at St. Mary's and together they shared almost 56 blessed years until he preceded her in death on March 31, 1986. Loretta was a hard-working wife, and mother of three wonderful sons, and was very involved in the St. Mary's Bazaar. In addition to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, she enjoyed crafting rugs, making doll clothing, and going to rummage sales.

She will be sadly missed by her sons: Gene (Audre), Stockbridge, Roy (Darlene), Menasha, Tom, Menasha; her grandchildren: Monica (Michael) Guralski, Neenah, Michael (Tammi), New London, Michele (John) McErlane, Iowa City, IA, Mark (Sandy), Kaukauna, Corrine (Brian) Bartelt, Fond du Lac, Tim (Judy) Fond du Lac, Barbara (Dan) Jensen, Menasha, Missy (Jim) Grones, Antigo; as well as 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her loving husband, Fredrick, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law: Marcella (Lawrence) Suess.

Funeral Liturgy for Loretta will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church (212 Appleton St. in Menasha) with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Menasha.
