Lois Mae Riehl

Lois Mae Riehl nee Huth, age 74, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Appleton Medical Center, following a brief and unexpected illness. Lois was born in Appleton on May 24, 1935, daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie (Stapel) Huth. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School, and married Paul Riehl on April 16, 1955. Paul preceded her in death in 1978. Lois is survived by four sons: Chuck (Nancy) Riehl and their son Paul (Jodi) Riehl; Mark (Christine) Riehl and his daughters Melissa, Melinda, and Melany Riehl and Christine's children, Lisa (Tom) Wenninger, Ron (Lisa), Richard (Michelle), Brian (Pily), Brad (Dawn) Grzesiakowski, and Linda (Alex) Huerta; Brian (Lorrie) Riehl and their children Damian (Lorna) Riehl, Nathan (Gwen) Riehl, Holly (fiancée Asa Cronk) Riehl, and Matthew Blink; and James (Connie) Hopp and their children Michelle and Kyle Hopp. There are also nine great-grandchildren; a sister: Carol (Ronald) Daelke; a brother: Donald (Vivian) Huth; two brothers-in-law: Wesley Warnke and Norbert Hardy; and a sister-in-law: Sylvia Huth. Lois will also be missed by her husband Paul's family: his step-mother Bernice Riehl; and his brothers and sisters and their spouses: Jean (Norbert) Fuhrmann, James (Judy) Riehl, Arlene Riehl, Leo (Judy) Riehl, Carol Wendt, Nancy (Rudy) Plach, Kathy (Jerry) Puls, Leslie (Gloria) Riehl, Pat Riehl, Mark Stapel, Louis Riehl, Steven (Bev) Riehl and Verna Riehl, niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Arlene (Merlin) Wolf, Lorraine Warnke, Margorie Hardy; a brother Elton Huth; brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald Riehl, Leonard Riehl, Wesley Riehl, Sharon Stapel, Dan Lee Riehl, and by Paul's parents Nolan “Jim” (Rose) Riehl. The Christian Funeral Service for Lois will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH (N5610 Broad St., Shiocton) with Pastor Paul Hinz officiating. Friends may call on Monday October 26 from 4 until 8 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the services at the Church. Burial will be in the Shiocton Bovina Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Lois's name.
