Lois Jepson

Lois A. Jepson, 75 of Appleton, passed away on April 7, 2015. Lois was born on November 2, 1939 to Robert and Theresa Hastreiter. After graduation from high school, she married Ronald Jepson on June 3, 1961, and they enjoyed over 53 years together. In 1950 Lois graduated from nursing school in Wausau. She worked as an RN at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Americana Nursing Home and then at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home as an RN Supervisor until her retirement. She was also active with Cub Scouts, at the Sacred Heart Food Pantry and was very devoted to her family, church and faith. She was an avid Brewers and Packers fan, loved reading, puzzles, playing games, canning and baking. She also enjoyed flowers.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ron, 6 children: Katy (Tim) Mathes-Woldt; Joe Jepson; Betsy (Paul) Kasper; Dick Jepson; Pete (Sally) Jepson; Maggie Klatt; 10 grandchildren: Pam (Kevin) Manley; Jeff (Beatrice Oteo) Mathes; Andy Mathes; Zak Kasper; Terry Jepson; Caden Klatt; Stacy (Jeremy) Condon; Michael Young; Ryan Young; Kaylee Jepson; 3 great-grandchildren with another coming in August; 3 sisters: Sandy Stephens of Chicago; Irene (Bob) Brown of Marion; Jane (Steve) Hanson of Clintonville as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ron's parents: Evan and Leola Jepson; brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Judy Hastreiter brother-in-law Dan Stephens and nephew Bill Hastreiter.
A gathering to celebrate Lois' life will be held at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri-County Chapel on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont Street in Appleton on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at church on Friday at 11:00 am.
