Lois J. Schoenian

December 10, 1931 — August 16, 2016

Lois J. Schoenian, age 84, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born on December 10, 1931 in Wausau to the late Carl and Elsie (Klug) Lemke. On July 9, 1955 she married Siegfried Schoenian in Germany. During her earlier years she worked as a secretary in Milwaukee before staying home to care for her two children, Tom and Karen. After Siegfried retired in 1990, they moved to Appleton. Lois was a long-time member at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Appleton. She was an avid Packer fan, Brewer fan and loved classical music. Lois also enjoyed trips to the UP with her family and spending time with her dog, Kaylee.

Lois is survived by her son, Tom Schoenian. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, her niece and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Siegfried Schoenian and her daughter, Karen Schoenian. She was also preceded in death by her brother.

Per Lois' wishes, private services will be held when she is laid to rest with her husband and her daughter at St. Mary Cemetery in Appleton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or a charity of your choosing.

Lois' family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Thedacare Appleton seventh and eighth floor along with the nurses and staff at Atrium Acute Post Care-Appleton for the care given to Lois. Also, thank you to the Prince of Peace Outreach Team for the continuing care and help to keep Lois as a part of the Prince of Peace family.
