Lloyd Joseph Meulemans

September 18, 1933 — April 8, 2018

Of Black Creek, passed away on April 8, 2018 at his residence at the age of 84. Lloyd was born in Wrightstown, Wisconsin on September 18, 1933 to August and Catherine (nee Van Dyke) Meulemans. Lloyd graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1951, and continued his education at Fox Valley Technical College for Electronic Training and also at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College for Electronic Instrument Training. Lloyd enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954 and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.

Lloyd was joined in marriage to Annaceil Lappen on July 19, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Kaukauna. Lloyd was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 44 years and retired as a Master Electrician in 1995. Lloyd loved to sing, and since 1942 had been active in local church choirs. His interests included, old cars, especially his restored 1954 Ford Crestline, wood working, especially the “Jesus” pattern he has re-created over 500 time for friends and family, gardening and cross word puzzles, and polka music. One of his most cherished memories was his participation in the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2016.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years Annaceil “Annie”, children Jean (Kenneth) Fink, David (Ken Harrison), Cathy (Diane Dick), Jeff (Rachel). Grandfather of Jen (Jeff) Schoening, Jesse, Megan, Alexandria (fiance’ Chris Chism), and Kimberlyn. Brother of Marjorie “Marge” Thede and Ila Mae “Toots” Hawley. Brother-in-law of Don Stratton and Jackie (Ed) Broeren. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, sons Michael and Thomas, sister Marilyn Stratton, brothers-in-law Ken Hawley, and LeRoy Thede.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 12 at St. Edwards’s Catholic Church, N2926 State Road 47, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Military Honors and burial to follow at St. Edward’s Cemetery. A memorial in Lloyd’s name is being established.
