Age 81, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2003. Llewellyn was born in Clintonville, Wisconsin on May 26, 1922, the son of Lothar and Esther (Krueger) Boyer. He married Gertrude Jahnke-Ecker on February 15, 1956. She preceded him in death in 1984. Llewellyn was employed at Consolidated Papers for 31 years, retiring in 1983. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Esther, Clintonville; his daughter, Penelope Jo Boyer, Appleton; step-daughters, Barbara (Charles) Hagens, Combined Locks; Sherry Ann Adams, California; Jacqueline (Donald) Van Toll, Combined Locks; his son, Llewellyn K. “Sonny” Boyer, Appleton; step-son, Bruce Ecker, Appleton; his brother, Kenneth (Irene) Boyer, Clintonville; sisters, Jeanice Hartfiel, Fremont; Dorathea (George) Blazek, Appleton; 10 step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren. Llewellyn is further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Lothar; infant son, Kenneth; twin sister, Laverne Boyer-Gauerke; step-grandson, James Van Toll; and 2 brothers-in-law, Harvey Hartfiel and Harold Gauerke. The funeral service will be held at Noon, on Monday, December 29, 2003 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. David Lyle officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Monday, December 29 from 10 until 11:45 a.m. The interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
