Age 38, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Lisa was born September 27, 1968, in Appleton, the daughter of Richard and Nancy (Glatz) Fairchild. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1986, and was currently employed at the Appleton Post-Crescent. Lisa loved doing craftswork with her children, Alexis and Lacy. She was a phenomenal cook, enjoyed photography, and riding her bicycle. Lisa was affectionately known as Girl Scout Troop 598’s “Cookie Mom”. Lisa treasured spending time with her nephews and niece.
Survivors include her loving life partner, Scott Tierney; their children, Alexis Wahl Tierney and Lacy Vollmer Tierney; a brother, Brian (Jennifer) Fairchild, and their children, Brandon, Tyler, and baby MacKenzie, of Combined Locks; her grandmother, Marion Rau, Menasha; Scott’s mother, Jean Tierney, and his sisters, Cathy Tierney (Maury Dresang), Sue (Bill) Brunner, and their children, Eric, Ryan, and Ashley, all of Appleton, and Laurie Tierney, Milwaukee; Lisa’s special friends of all, Sandy Prinsen and Mike Smaxwell; and her playful kitties, Allie and Tigger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Shayne.
Funeral services for Lisa will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at WICHMANN TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday until the time of services at Tri-County. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund in her name is being established.
She was a lover of angels and now she is one, and Lisa will be living on through others with the donation of her organs.
