Linda M. Mirek

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda M. Mirek, of Menasha, WI, announces her passing after a brief illness on Friday, February 16, 2018, at the age of 68 years.

Linda was born in Wausau, WI to Walter Sr. and Marie Mirek on September 22, 1949. She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1967. She worked as a Systems Analyst for Affinity Medical Group and retired after 42 years of service. She took much pride in her home and caring for her dog Sava. She enjoyed life by decorating her home, cooking, gardening and spending time with friends and family. Her generous heart and memorable laugh touched and enriched lives of all those she encountered. She truly provided, and was surrounded, by love.

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her children Ryan (Michiko) Hoel and Erika (Greg) Plass, her grandchildren Dane, Mila, Liam and Jaden, and her siblings Walter Jr.(Darlene), Gene, Jerome (Cathy), Lorchid (Tom) Loughran, Richard (Michelle), Lisa (Chuck) Radichel, and Lea (Hugh) Flannery. She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Her family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to her many friends and the doctors, nurses and staff of St Elizabeth’s Hospital Cancer Center in Appleton, WI. Everyone gave her strength, courage and laughter during her battle with cancer.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be given to the Wisconsin Humane Society. We will respect Linda’s wishes for not having a funeral.
