LINDA C. MEYER
Appleton

Age 56, died on Wednesday October 12, 2005 at Appleton Medical Center. Linda was born in Appleton on March 30, 1949, daughter of Rosemary and the (late) William Locke. She married David Meyer on August 1, 1966 and together they shared a very beautiful and happy marriage.
Linda had an exuberant love and zest for life until her final hour. She was a very fine artist and graduated from Fox Valley Technical College as a professional cake decorator and worked for Manderfields Home Bakery and the bakery in both Pick N' Save and Austin’s food store. She graduated from the American Academy of Real Estate and worked as a Real Estate sales person for Van's realty and construction. She was a state licensed investigator for 19 years and a Notary Public. Linda also sold Avon products for many years. Not only was she a fulltime mother and housewife, but she found time to be a Brownie Leader, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader. Linda was all talent and excelled in everything she did. Linda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and loved Fr. Kuhr, Fr. Bob and she loved the Ladies of Sacred Heart who would bring her communion. Linda enjoyed picnics in the northern woods, "loved" fishing and the companionship of her German Shepherds and her black cat "kitty."
She was preceded in death by her brother William Locke Jr. and her father William Locke Sr. and grand-daughter Ashley Meyer. She also was preceded by her Mother and Father In-law Elaine and Julius Meyer.
Linda is survived by her husband David, and their children and grandchildren: Daughter Lisa (Meyer) and Mohamed Samak, and grandchildren Matthew, Holly, Kelly and Michael Grover; Son David and Lori Meyer, and granddaughter Tiffany; Son Jason Meyer and special friend Jodi Vanderheiden, and grandson Tyler; Son Joseph and Karen Meyer and grandchildren Nicole and Ashton; Son Curtis and Teresa Meyer and grandchildren Katelynn, James, Christopher and Kyle; and Son Thomas Meyer.
Linda is also survived by: her mother Rosemary (Zak) Locke, her sister Carol Jean and Ed Ramm; sister Denise and Larry Vanderlois; half sister Donna and David Hayes; brother Jeffrey and Patricia Locke. Linda is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda passed away after a very courageous battle with diabetes. Shortly after losing her eyesight, she lost both legs. The diabetes destroyed 75% of her heart vessels and kidneys requiring her to undergo a regular regime of hemodialysis. Her diabetic neuropathy tortured her relentlessly to the end. With all of the pain and sorrow she endured, she still shared her "MOST" beautiful smile with everyone. Linda will be extremely missed by all those who loved and new her. REST IN PEACE MY LINDA AND BEAUTIFUL MOTHER…LOVE FOREVER, YOUR FAMILY.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Tuesday October 18. 2005 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont St, Appleton, with Fr. Norm Krutzik officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church, in the Sacred Heart Room from 1 until 3:45 p.m. The internment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
