BUCHHOLZ, LILLIAN

Lillian Buchholz, of Shawano, formerly of Kimberly, age 100 years, died Friday, December 23, 2005 at Maple Lane Health Care Center in Shawano. She was born August 1, 1905 in the Town of Heartland, WI a daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Rusch) Stern. She married Otto Rotter in 1925 and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1941. In 1943, she married Wm. Buchholz and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1966. Lillian was a member of Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, Menasha and the Ladies Aid.

Lillian is survived by her sons: George (Janet) Rotter of Oshkosh and Robert (Carol) Rotter of Shawano; two daughters: Caroline Hess of Shawano and Marion (Earl) Plass of Kimberly; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Loretta Stern of Bonduel, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Otto Rotter and Wm. Buchholz, 3 brothers: George, Ernest and Alex Stern; 2 sisters: Emma Griep and Bertha Peterson and her son-in-law, Henry Hess.

The funeral service for Lillian will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 26, 2005 at ST. LUKE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 705 Greenfield Dr., Little Chute with Pastor Virgil Hanson officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mt. Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church appreciated.
