Age 86, died on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo. Lester was born on September 17, 1918, in Lessor, Wisconsin, the son of the late Alfred and Hattie (Yuenger) Pitt. He farmed in Underhill for several years, then moved to Kaukauna, where he worked for Appleton Papers in Combined Locks until retirement. He later moved to the Elcho area.

He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Ron) Mach, Elcho; 6 sons, Jerry (Sharon) Pitt, Kaukauna; Larry (Janet) Pitt, Kaukauna; Ronald (Sandy) Pitt, Neenah; Keith (Cindy) Pitt, Kaukauna; Thomas (Linda) Pitt, Kaukauna; Robert (Nancy) Pitt, Appleton; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Lila (Pleshek) Pitt; his wife, Dorothy Beson-Klein; two sisters, Bernice Nowak and Margaret Lemke; a son, James Pitt and two grandsons, Brian Mach and Adam Pitt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at WICHMAN TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, December 11, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
