MEIDAM, LEORA E.

Leora Meidam, 92, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. She was born on March 6, 1918 in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Edward and Hilda (Reiner) Nass. On January 23, 1936, Leora married Adrian Meidam in Appleton. She enjoyed baking and playing cards with her friend, Laverne. Leora always looked forward to traveling up north to the Crivitz area with her son and a day to the beauty shop and lunch with her granddaughter, Cherie.

Leora is survived by her children: Joyce Gerow, Kaukauna; Jean (Paul) Lamers, Little Chute; Ronald (Helen) Meidam, Little Chute and Rod (special friend, Archie Schultz) Meidam, Athelstane; seventeen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; four sisters: Sadie and Sylvia Hopfensperger; Hilda Verbeten and Lilas Young and a brother, William �Bud� Nass. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leora was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian; daughters: Marlene (Leo) Driessen and Nancy (Dan) Lappen; son-in-law, Raymond �Tuggy� Gerow and grandson, Daniel Lappen.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 with Chaplain Jordan Kuczwara officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A time of public visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the funeral home.

A special thank you to her daughter-in-law, Helen, for her help and comfort over the last few years.
