Leonard Weyers

March 17, 1945 — October 29, 2011

Leonard “Len” Weyers, 66, of Kimberly, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center.

Len was born on March 17, 1945 to Bernard and Clara (Ross) Weyers. He worked at Appleton Papers until his retirement and enjoyed traveling and the Packers. Len and his fishing buddies went to Canada on fishing trips for over 20 years; he also had a camper in Maple Heights campground in Lakewood, where he enjoyed spending time. He loved to play cribbage and had a perfect hand once. Len liked to cook and always had his family over on Christmas Eve. He loved his pets Tigger and KC and collected Anheuser Busch memorabilia.

Len is survived by his brother, Ron (Christine) Weyers, Fremont, a brother-in-law, Marvin Vanden Berg, Freedom, sisters-in-law; Donna Weyers, Plains, Montana and Lois Nollenberg, Shiocton, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Len was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Richard Weyers, Shirley Vanden Berg, and Robert Weyers, and a nephew Bill Vanden Berg.

A memorial service for Len will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the JANSEN FARGO FUNERAL HOME at 7:30 PM. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 4:30 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery in Kimberly.

The family would like to thank Brewster Village, Manor Care, Appleton Medical Center and his home care givers for everything they did for Len.
