Leon J. Brux, 89, of Green Bay, formerly of Appleton, died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at Santa Maria Nursing Home in Green Bay.
He was born September 7, 1917, in Greenville, the son of the late Henry J. and Mary (Wolf) Brux. Leon was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force.
Prior to his retirement, Leon was employed with Banta Corporation for many years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Neenah. Leon was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia (Christopher) Coinfield, Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Howard (Bertha) Brux, Brillion, Harvey Brux, Sommersville, S.C., and Eugene (Katherine Riebe) Brux, Green Bay; a sister, Helen (Fred) Ohern, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Leon was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra, and a brother, Merlyn Brux.

Funeral services for Leon will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, with Rev. Rachel Reeves-Schwab officiating. Urn burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Neenah. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.
