Age 79, passed away at Appleton Medical Center following a short illness on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. She was born in Francis Creek, WI on December 27, 1928, the daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Swetlik) Meyer. On August 28, 1948 she married her husband of 60 years, Leroy Ziarnik. She graduated from Two Rivers High School and attended the U. W. Extension at Manitowoc. Fuzzy enjoyed cards, going to Florida, playing games and telling jokes. She had a smile for almost everyone and had an infectious laugh. Fuzzy will be remembered for her generous heart and often sent cards to those in need.

Fuzzy is survived by her husband, Lee; children: Patrick (Pam) Ziarnik of Novi, MI, Michael (Pam) Ziarnik of Cambridge, WI and Colleen (Steve) Haas of Appleton; grandchildren: Scott (Tamara) Ziarnik, Chris (Kari) Ziarnik, Jaci (Nick) Thielke, Jeff Ziarnik, Joe (Yolanda) Ziarnik, Ben and Andy Ziarnik, and Kyle and Cailin Haas; 11 great-grandchildren and her “adopted son” John Miller. She is preceded in death by her sons: Gregory Ziarnik and infant son, Joseph; brother, Orin Meyer; and sister, Jeanette Clemens.

The funeral liturgy will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Fr. Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Fuzzy's name is being established.
