Larry W. Marheine

December 13, 1925 — April 18, 2005

Age 79, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 18, 2005. Larry was born December 13, 1925 in Kingsford, Michigan, son of the late Walter and Florence (Crowell) Marheine. On March 22, 1947, Larry married the former Helen Wood in Iron Mountain; she survives. During World War II, Larry was proud to have served as a member of the United States Army in the European Theatre. In 1949, the couple relocated to the Fox Valley where he began his employment with Kimberly Clark’s Kimberly Mill. In all, he was employed for over thirty years, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed woodworking. He and Helen wintered in Texas, and he enjoyed making that annual trip for the last seventeen years.

He is survived by his wife: Helen Marheine of Kimberly; five children: Marvin (Joanne) Marheine of Shawano; Danny Marheine of Kimberly; Doug Marheine of Kaukauna; Mark Marheine of Kimberly and his friend Barb; Vickie (Louie) DeLeeuw of Kaukauna; six grandchildren: Tammy Petrick and her friend Scott Schaeuble, Lance Marheine and his friend Nicole, Matt Marheine, Jamie Duncan, Jeremy Marheine, and Jesse Marheine; seven great-grandchildren; a sister: Florence Burgess of Hardwood, Michigan; two brothers: Jim (Ruth) Marheine of Kimberly and Tom (Maureen) Marheine of Hardwood, Michigan; an aunt and uncle: Vivian and Onnie of Tomahawk; four sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Helen’s parents Leonard and Lottie Wood and a daughter Debbie Duncan.

A memorial service for Larry will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, April 22, 2005 at the funeral home chapel with Deacon Pete Reinl officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Daddy – We will love you and miss you forever, but we know that you are at peace, along with Debbie. –Your kids.
