Lori, I sure wished I could have made it there for the funeral, but I'm sure praying for you and your family. It was Larry that made us 8 girls get back in touch with each other. He so knew our friendships were so valuable. I'm so grateful that he suggested we have that 4oth birthday party weekend. He filled up the room with joy at our reunion. I wish we could have lived closer and spent more time together. Be strong and rest in God's arms. He will carry your family and give you perserverance through all of this. Love and prayers, Amy

Dr. Christopher J. Glapa, family, and staff left a message on April 6, 2009:
I remember very profoundly the day I met Larry when he walked into my office in the Appleton Center. He was in the process of relocating from Las Vegas. After talking with Larry, who was a single dad raising two small boys, we immediately became friends, as I grew up in a single parent family with two brothers and a sister with my dad as the single parent. Larry reminded me so much of my dad with his caring attitude and how he put the needs and welfare of his two boys ahead of everything else in his life. I will miss Larry greatly, and like my dad, Larry will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Larry and I walked in different circles during high school, however, I certainly knew him. He was the type of person you couldn't help to know. Please remember that it's only the physical that leaves after someone moves up. I've learned the rest is here forever and to access it all you need to do is be aware. It sounds as though you two have lived a life together well. I find it a great honor to my wife and me, being able to continue the same journey with her spirit in my heart, still making future memories together. Blessings to you and your kids.

There are so many fond memories of our time with both Larry and Lori. From dinners out at Glidden Lodge, to his 56th birthday party, and cocktails on their deck, swimming with his children - all of whom made him so proud. But, one of the happiest times we ever shared was on Lori's 40th birthday, when Larry suprised her with an incredible diamond ring. He had a table full of friends and neighbors from Strawberry Creek in Door County at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club - and had the biggest smile, and greatest laugh when Lori opened a box of boat motor oil only to find a huge sparkler inside!!!! What an amazing man, wonderful, loving, supportive husband and father, a great role model for humankind. We will miss him so much. Love, Marti and Gary Ziegelbauer
