Kolbe, Thank you for being a great friend to Jeremy. I first met you when you and he were in elementary school together and I watched you grow through the basketball and High school years into the fine young man that you became. I have many happy memories of you that I will cherish even more knowing that your time here on earth was tragically short, but also oh so precious! Nikki, My deepest condolences to you at this very difficult time. It is truly difficult to express the sadness that I feel over Kolbe's passing. It is my sincere hope that the many happy memories that you and Kolbe have made throughout the years will sustain you as you work through your grieving process. The love between you and Kolbe has always been evident throughout the time that I have known you. Know that he has touched my life positively also and I will always remember him fondly.

Man this hit me hard. Nikki and family...my deepest condolences to you. You raised one hell of man. Kolbe my friend, all I can think back to are all of our memories we made as young kids. Playing basketball everyday, all day long, and you best believe it was winners world. Nobody was taking our court. I mean YOUR court haha. We loved like brothers, we fought like brothers and most importantly WE MADE EACH OTHER BETTER. You were a lover, a protector, and loyal friend. You lives life to the fullest. I truly hope to play ball with you in heaven and pick up where we left off. Rest in piece my friend. All my love. -Dylan

Nikki, I am so sorry to hear of this. I remember meeting kolbe as a young child when we first met. He was always respectful, and such a nice young man. I remember working with him at the y, and also him being in the gym with my boys. They looked up to him and were in awe of his height, and he always took the time to talk with them and play ball with them. You did a great job raising him. I have no idea what you are going through right now, but my heart hurts for you and your family. Please know you are all in our prayers.

Kolbe was truly a wonderful young man. I was his teacher for Senior Art class at KHS and he was always such a joy to be around! He was so kind to ALL of his classmates; so respectful, polite, upbeat, and caring. Kolbe went out of his way to make our special students feel important and so many of them considered him to be their friend. Kolbe was such a Class Act and I am so sad that he has passed. To Kolbe's family- please know what a positive, lasting impression he made at Kimberly High School. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Nikki, my heart is so very sad for you and all of your family. It seems like yesterday I'd be playing organ at St. Matthew's and you'd be there with him; and if not you Grandma Nancy and Grandpa "Whitie" would be there with him. I see your eyes and your smile when I look at his picture. :-) God be with all of you and comfort you with His love. JP

Sophomore year, JV basketball, I was getting picked on all game. Kolbe knew I was struggling with it. He asked “who do you want me to take out?”. I told him. My guardian Kolbe set the hardest screen on the opposing player. Next timeout Kolbe says, “ I always got you”. Kolbe had your back, and still does. He will forever be a guardian.
