FALK, KENNETH C.

Ken Falk, age 89, entered his Heavenly Home on Friday, May 15, 2009, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken was born on December 5, 1919, in Appleton, to the late William and Hattie (Rahn) Falk. He married Doris Hinz on June 25, 1949, in Appleton. Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He proudly served his nation in the Army Air Corp during World War II, serving in the European Theatre. Ken was employed as a machine operator at Kimberly Clark for over 35 years, retiring in 1982. Survivors include Doris, his wife of 59 years; his children, James (Donnamarie) Falk, Appleton; Barbara (Mark) Schmidt, Marietta, Georgia; Debbie (Dennis) Kasten, Appleton; and Joanne Rice, Appleton; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Gray, Jessica (Jason) Delvaux, Joanna (Kirk) De Young; Krista and Eric Schmidt; Matt and Michael Kasten; and Steven Rice; and his great granddaughters, Clara Delvaux and Norah Gray. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd, Orrin and Wilfred. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009, at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street, Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth L. Frey officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, with full military honors. A memorial has been established in Ken's name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Martha Seikman Cancer Center for its loving care of Ken.
