LEINO, KENNETH “KEN”
Kenneth Leino, age 55, of Appleton, passed away after a valiant fight on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Manor Care. He was born on January 30, 1957 in Washburn, the son of John and Ellen (Kainu) Leino. Ken graduated from Washburn High School and Fox Valley Technical College with associate degrees in Chemistry and Quality Assurance. His employment started at Scott Tissue with 20 years of service, followed by Walmart, Kraft/Jack's Pizza and ending at Kelly Services doing various quality control positions in the area. On April 1, 2004, Ken married Barb Ploeckelman in Chilton. He enjoyed camping in the Woodruff and Minocqua area with his family. His love for his family was inconceivable. Ken was a life-time Dr. Suess, “Lord of the Rings”, “Star Wars” and Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara Leino; daughters: April (Jeffrey) Raisleger, Crystal Diercks and Bethany (Christopher) Davis; step-daughters: Tina Berger, Lori (Babucarr) Manneh and Jenifer Wondra; grandchildren: Colton, Brianna and Adrien Leino; Shianne and Alyssa Berger; Mamie Manneh; mother: Ellen Leino; siblings: Steve (Lani) Leino, Marge (Mike McGinn) Bray, Ed (Sharon) Leino, Larry (De) Leino, Jim (Kelly) Leino, Faye Constantini and Janet Leino. Ken is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Leino and his first wife, Emily (Lynch) Leino.
The memorial service for Ken will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 (TODAY) at the HOLIDAY INN NEENAH RIVERWALK HOTEL, 123 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Neenah. A gathering will take place from 3:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
