Age 87, passed away at Peabody Manor in Appleton on Thursday, April 23, 2009. She was born in Appleton on June 14, 1921 the daughter of the late Guy and Elsie (Witzke) Manning. On May 31, 1940 she married her husband of 66 years, James Bergner. He preceded her death in 2006. Kay was an avid Packer Fan and loved to read. She was very proud of her family and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Kay is survived by her children: Paul Bergner of Neenah, Laurie (Dan) Neunaber of Appleton and Bruce (Kim) Bergner of Longmont, CO; grandchildren: James Neunaber, Holly Bergner, Lindsey Neunaber, Miles Bergner and Hallie Bergner; and great-grandchildren: Sydney and Lilyana.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Appleton. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Peabody Manor and hospice for their compassion.
