Kathleen "Kathy" R. Smith

Kathleen “Kathy” Rose (Driscoll) Smith, 84 years, passed away October 31, 2016 at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha. She was born October 16, 1932 in Neenah, Wisconsin to her loving parents Lawrence and Eleanor (Tietz) Driscoll. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1950. Kathy went to many states with her former husband, James Mitchler, on transfers to new positions. She worked at SC Shannon Co., Bergstrom Automotive and Tel Sec Answering Services. Kathy retired in 1992 from Tel Sec allowing time for her to enjoy her favorite past time of watching her grandchildren play sports. Kathy loved the Packers and each and every member of her family.

Kathy will be sorely missed by her children Gary Mitchler, Randy (Connie) Mitchler, Kelley Anne (Michael) Rudolph, grandchildren Tyler Mitchler, Robyn (fiancé Ross Kopiske) Mitchler, Alec Rudolph, Kelsie Rudolph, great-grandson Oliver Matthew Rudolph, sister and best friend Marilyn (Carl) Wolfinger, former in-laws Alyse Mitchler, Mary Ann (Gerry) Maas, Tim (Doreen) Mitchler, Caroline Steenis, Tom Mitchler and Larry (Debbie) Mitchler.

Preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Eleanor Driscoll, her former husband James Mitchler, former brothers-in-law George Mitchler and Ed Steenis, aunts Bernice (Dave) Koslo and Verna (Joe) Magalski, uncles Harry (Kate) Tietz and Clem (Jen) Tietz, grandparents Frank and Victoria Tietz.

Family and friends will be gathering for a time of sharing on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5 – 6 pm, at the Funeral Home. Private inurnment St. John Cemetery, Menasha.

Kathy's family thanks the kind and loving staffs of Prairie Home Assisted Living and Generations Hospice for their care of Mom.
