Kathleen "Kathi" Burwell

Kathleen (Kathi) Burwell was taken in the Lord's arms while at home with her loving family at her side. She is now free from the burden of the cancer she fiercely fought and conquered over the last 3 years of her life.

Kathi was born July 6th, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Everyone will remember her as a fun loving spirit with a unforgettable sense of humor. She embraced her role as a proud wife, mother, and grandmother.

She loved spending time at their summer home “the cottage” Lake Arrowhead in Rome, Wisconsin. Their time there with family and friends will continue to be in our memories for years to come.

After growing up in Madison, Wisconsin she married Mark Burwell in 1976 and they lived their life in Green Bay, Oshkosh, and Appleton (the Fox Cities) for over thirty years while being an entrepreneur at her gourmet coffee and gift store “Not Just Coffee!…” followed by being a dedicated associate at U.S. Bank for 10 years.

Kathi is survived by her husband Mark, her two sons Shawn (Angie), Ryan (Cindy), three grandchildren Eleanor, Augustus (Gus), Aubriana, and granddaughter on the way. Her sister Jeannie de la O (Don), aunts, uncles, cousins, friends who touched her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at ST. RAPHAEL THE ARCHANGEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 830 S. Westhaven Drive, Oshkosh. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street, Menasha with a Prayer Vigil being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at church the next day from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 10:00 a.m.

A memorial fund has been established in Kathi's name.
