Kay Shaw, age 88, passed away at the Appleton Medical Center on Wednesday evening, May 23, 2012. Kay was born in San Jose, California on April 10, 1924, daughter of the late Roy and Amelia (Bragg) Blake. On August 3, 1942 she married Warren Shaw in Reno, Nevada. Warren preceded her in death in 2003. Kay and Warren had been active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Appleton, Wisconsin owhere she was a member of the Relief Society. Kay was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans' Auxiliary.
She is survived by five children: Don (Donna) Shaw of Pacifica, Washington and their family; Gary (Gretchen) Shaw of Appleton Wisconsin and their family; Lynn (Bruce) MacDonald of Cutbank, Montana and their family; Anna Leetier of Washington and her family; and Bonnie Leetier of Texas and her family. There are also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Gary Shaw, Jr. and her great-granddaughter: Isabell.
A funeral service for Kay will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 425 W. Park Ridge Avenue in Appleton, with Bishop Brent Weed presiding. Burial and dedication of the grave will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
