August 24, 1954 — February 24, 2011

Katherine “Katie” Witkowski, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at home. Katie was born on August 24, 1954, to Gene and Mitzi (Van Dalen) Kronforst in Appleton.

On December 17, 1983, she married the love of her life, Chuck Witkowski, whom she knew she would marry the first time they met. Together they built a life together that she deeply enjoyed. She loved foster parenting for 15 years and hosted many exchange students. She generously opened her home and heart to everyone from friends and family to strangers and especially children. She embraced whole heartedly any assignment God gave her. It was her desire to pass on her ethical and moral compass to her children that she received from her father. Katie gave quietly out of a loving and caring heart. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel St. Mary Parish and a card carrying member of the Republican Party with a firm belief in the founding fathers principles.
