Age 82, died on Thursday, September 25, 2008, after a long illness. June was born on June 9, 1926 in Crandon, Wi., daughter of the late Tony and Inez (Aman) Castonguay. She married Ernest Tobin on May 30, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1987. June worked at Fleet Farm for many years, and then as a Realtor prior to her retirement. June was known for her caring and giving nature for anyone in need. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Larry) Ellenbecker, Winneconne; 2 grandchildren, Tracy Ellenbecker, Tammy (Dan) Malewski, both of Winneconne; 3 great-granchildren, Gabrielle, Abigail, and Veronica. She is also survived by a sister, Rosalie (Charles) Schmidt, Ohio, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband, June was preceded in death by her son, James Tobin, and many brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life service for June will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday September 28, 2008 at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri County Chapel, Menasha, with Pastor Phil Bogen officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial is being established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center and their palliative care program for the excellent and compassionate care given to June, and also to ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all the supportive help given to the family and friends.
