June Meidam

June Meidam, age 86, of Appleton, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born on June 10, 1926 in Shawano, the daughter of the late Otto and Viola (Seidlitz) Rusch. On October 22, 1946, June married Patrick Meidam in Shawano. They enjoyed traveling and seeing the United States. Family time was surrounded by activities like – baking and decorating Christmas cookies; Easter egg decorating and celebrations; Trick or Treat night; and playing board games, cards and knitting.
June is survived by her children: Larry (Sandra) Meidam, Leon (Christine) Meidam, Sandra (Mark) Schindler, Rosemary (Michael) Dietz, Mark (Linda) Meidam, Kim (Cynthia) Meidam and Connie (Darrell) Pomplun; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother: Carl (Caroline) Rusch. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia and her husband, Patrick Meidam.
The funeral service for June will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel. Rev. Dr. Tom Fritz will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Thursday until the time of service.
