June E. (DeBraal) McGregor

June E. McGregor, age 89, of Appleton, died peacefully at The Bridges of Appleton on Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born on June 28, 1925 in Sheboygan to Daniel and Reina (Lubach) DeBraal. June spent most of her life living in Appleton. She married Harold K. McGregor on May 29, 1948; he preceded her in death in 1973.

June loved children. She spent her life devoted to her children and doting on her grandchildren. She delighted spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. June spent countless hours volunteering at Richmond Elementary School. She volunteered at the St. Joseph Food Pantry every Friday morning for over 30 years! June enjoyed knitting, reading, playing cards, bowling, and golfing. She was a life long Packer fan.

June will be missed by her children, Susan (William) McGregor Porter and John “Mac” (Robin) McGregor; her grandchildren, Kathleen “Zelda” (Brooks) Jewell, James Porter, Misty (Loren) Christensen; two great-grandchildren, Glenn and Liam Christensen. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Cooke, Judy Arpke, Sally (Richard) Dern and brothers, James (Joy) DeBraal, Robert (Jeanne) DeBraal, and many nieces and nephews.

To respect June's wishes there will not be a funeral service, but a memorial luncheon to celebrate her life. Please join us on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL.
