Julia Ruth Treiber, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born May 23rd 1913 in Appleton, the daughter of John & Anna (Shilling) Paltzer one of eight siblings growing up on the Paltzer family farm on North Meade Street. Julia graduated from Appleton High School and married George F. Treiber on May 28th 1936. In her nearly 97 years Julia was known for her delightful and contagious laugh, amazing determination, tolerance and wisdom but most of all for her kind and loving nature. Her extremely strong faith in the Lord and the Holy Spirit sustained her throughout her life. Always putting others before herself; she was very much beloved by family and her circle of friends. Intelligence and quick wit stayed with her till the end allowing her to remain an avid crossword puzzler and card player. Julia was a lifetime member of St Thomas More and the Catholic Daughters.
Julia is survived by her brother Eugene (Marce) Paltzer and her remaining children; Jack (Marge) Treiber, Judy (Don) Ellis, Chuck Treiber, Tom (Anya) Treiber, Joe Treiber, Bill (Sherry) Treiber and daughter-in-law Caryn Treiber. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George, son Richard, daughter-in-law Theresa and six of her siblings; Margaret Schuh, George Paltzer, Marie Busch, Helen May, Richard Paltzer and Delores Busch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH (1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton) with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Appleton Community Foundation Endowment Fund.
