Judith Altmeier

April 24, 1947 — August 29, 2013

Judith E. Altmeier, age 66, of Appleton, passed away at Oakridge Gardens, Menasha, on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Judy was born on April 24, 1947, in Oshkosh, to the late Leonard and Gertrude (Lipke) Koelpin. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and farming memorabilia. She especially loved family birthdays, family gatherings and the time spent with her granddaughters. Survivors include her sons, Timothy Altmeier and DJ (Kathy) Altmeier; her granddaughters, Melissa Altmeier and Megan Grotenhuis; and her brother Leonard Koelpin. Judy is further survived by many, many dear friends who she considered family. She was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Koelpin.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at RIVERVIEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 136 W. Seymour Street, Appleton, with Rev. Adam Bode and Rev. Belter Dennis W. Belter officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, Menasha, on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Heartland Hospice and the staff at Oakridge Gardens, for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Judy's name. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com
