Judith A Goodermote

Judith A. “Judy” Goodermote, 75 of Appleton, passed away on March 23, 2016 after a brief illness. Judy was born on August 9, 1940 in Eau Claire Wisconsin to the late Gyle and Myrine (Sather) Tollefson. On June 4, 1960 she married Harold “Harry” Goodermote in Eleva Wisconsin and they enjoyed over 55 years together.

Family and faith were very important to Judy. She was a woman of strong faith and lived for the Lord. She was also very active in her community, doing volunteer work for the Jaycettes, Welcome Wagon and The Newcomers Group. She enjoyed playing golf, softball, Mahjong and bowling. She also like to play cards, especially Bridge.

After graduating high school, she attended college and became a Medical Lab Technician. She worked at several facilities throughout the years, including, Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, Iowa, Luther Midelfort Lutheran Hospital in Eau Claire, Mondovi Memorial Hospital, Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah and The Community Blood Center.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Harry, children: Shelly (Eric) Ashline of Black Creek; Beth (Rodney) Bunn of Story, City Iowa; Melissa (Brad) Scholl of Kimberly, grandchildren: Sara (Ben) Allgeyer; Chris (Amanda) Ashline; Luke Neunsinger; Nick (Serah) Neunsinger; Wyatt Bunn; Will Bunn; Zak Scholl; Jakob Scholl; Stephanie Scholl, 5 great-grandchildren, three sisters: Patti (Jim) Rose; Lois (Bob) Goetzke; Tami Tooke, one brother: Jim (Julie) Tollefson as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Judy will be on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2330 E. Calumet Street in Appleton. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Appleton Medical Center, 7th Floor and ThedaCare at Home Hospice. A special thank you to Judy's many friends and neighbors who offered love and assistance during Judy's illness. You are too many to mention but, will always be appreciated.
